PRELIMINARY SELECTIONS FOR “KALA NEERAJANAM” FROM JULY 6

Tirumala, 25 Jun. 14: The preliminary selections for the suitable candidates who are aspiring to take part in “Kala Neerajanam” will commence from July 6 on wards in Tirupati under the aegis of TTDs Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad and Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel.

The temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTDs) with an aim to provide a platform to the local (from the state) budding talents in the field of fine arts, has designed a new programme, “Kala Neerajanam”. The selected candidates will get an opportunity to perform their expertise on “Nada Neerajanam” platform in Tirumala.

The preliminary selections for the talented candidates hailing from Nellore will be on July 6, for Anantapur on July 7, for Kurnool on July 8, for Kadapa on July 9 and for Chittoor on July 10. The interested candidates who have mastered in classical music, instrumental music and classical dance can register their names at Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati on the respective dates from 9am to 10am in their respective fields.

The candidates who are willing to take part in this preliminary selections should have certificate of recognition from any central government department or should be a B-grade artiste in Akasa Vaani or should have merit certificates from recognised departments in the field of art and culture. The candidates should produce a photo copy of their certificate of merit by the time of registering.

The candidates will not be provided any accommodation or to and fro charges during their preliminary selections.

The candidates will perform their talents at Annamacharya Kalamandir on the respective dates. The candidates who are selected will be given an opportunity to perform first at Mahati Auditorium on July 19 and 20. Finally the expert judges team will select the final list of the candidates who got eligibility to perform on Nada Neerajanam platform at Tirumala.

The selected candidates for Nada Neerajanam will be provided accommodation, prasadam and darshan of Lord on free of cost at Tirumala during their performance day. They will also be paid some remuneration for their performance by TTD.
