PRELUDE FESTIVAL PERFORMED
Tiruchanur, 25 November 2016: As a prelude to annual Karthika Brahmotsavams of Goddess Padmavathi Devi of Tiruchanoor which are going to commence from November 26 with Dhwajarohanam, the nocturnal festival Ankurarpanam was performed with devotional fervour.
On Friday evening, this ceremonial event took place between 6:30pm and 8:30 pm with ritwiks chanting the mantras and sowing the Navadhanyas in mud Palikas under the supervision of Commander in Chief Lord Viswaksena.
This festival has sent a clarion call to all the Dikpalakas, deities of 14 worlds, seeking their participation in the mega fete.
Tirupati JEO Sri Pola Bhaskar, Temple Sp.Gr.DyEO Sri P Munirathnam Reddy, AEO Sri Radhakrishna, ACVSO Sri Sivakumar Reddy, Temple Staff and devotees took part.
