VEDAS ARE IDENTITY OF OUR RICH CULTURE AND TRADITION-PREZ

INAUGURATES TTD VEDA PATHASHALA IN IBHEEMAVARAM

IBHIMAVARAM 25 Dec. 15: Vedas are the identity of rich, ancient Indian culture and heritage and taught the entire world the values of leading a righteous way of life, advocated the Honourable President of India Dr Pranab Mukherjee.

Dr Mukherjee inaugurated the TTD’s Veda Pathashala in Ibheemavaram in West Godavari district on Friday. In his address, the first citizen of India stressed the need to safeguard VEDAS for the sake of future generations and complimented the temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) for its initiatives in protecting and promoting Vedas.

Quoting some of the famous VEDIC verses, he said the chief motto of Vedas which were taught by our great gurus is for the benefit of the entire humanity and enhancing the spirit of brotherhood. “Loka Samastha Sukhino Bhavanthu…Vasudhaika Kutumbakam”, he asserted.

Adding further he said, “Even the UNESCO recognised the importance of our VEDIC knowledge. It is our bounded duty and responsibility to preserve the prestige glory of Vedas which are the integral part of our tradition, insight of our knowledge”, he maintained.

Later the President said, thousands of years ago universities like Taxila, Nagarjuna, Amaravathi etc. have attracted even the foreign students to study Vedic courses like Nyaya Sastra, Mimamsa etc. Our Guru-Sishya Parampara has such a great value and dignity. We need to sustain the legacy for our next gen students”, he observed.

Governor Sri ESL Narasimhan, CM of AP Sri N Chandrababu Naidu, Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy, TTD Tirupati Jeo Sri P Bhaskar, Ttd Former a Trust board chairman Sri K Bapiraju were also present.
