PRESS MEET BY EXECUTIVE OFFICER ON SEEGRA DARSHANAM

Tirumala, 23 October 2009: Sri I.Y.R.Krishna Rao, Executive Officer TTD informed that pilgrims expressing happiness on Seegra Darshanam system which began on October 21 in Tirumala. Speaking with media at Annamayya Bhavan, Tirumala on October 23. He further said that to maintain Q lines of Seegra Darshanam pilgrims additional staff will be posted besides supply of water, Tea, Coffee, Tiffin’s etc., as when required. He appealed the pilgrims that Seegra Darshanam is not an instant darshanam and one have to wait for their Lord’ darshan thro seegra darshanam Q line.

He further clarified that the Sudarshan free token line which is being operated from Supatham may be shifted to VQC-II at footh path entrance point from 23.10.2009. Two more compartments may be added in VQC-II to accommodate free darshan token holders.

Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva/Dolotsavam, Arjitha Brahmotsavam and Vasanthotsavam seva ticket holders may be permitted from VQC-I through Supatham entry. For this purpose scanning facility for the tickets and Seegra Darsanam ticket issuing facility may be established at Supatham entry point. Necessary sign boards showing the entry be erected at Supatham and VQC-II he added.

Later he informed that the following timings are prescribed for issue of tickets on daily basis for Seegra Darsanam.
