PROCESSION OF CHINNASESHA VAHANAM

Tiruchanoor, Nov 29 : Kartheeka Brahmotsavams is the spectacular mega event of procession of the Processional deity of Goddess Padmavathi, the consort of Lord Venkateswara in the holy town of Tiruchanoor, where in the Goddess takes a pleasure ride on various divine vahanams(Vehicles) for nine days and graces the pilgrim devotees. According to temple legendary since this celestial festival was first performed by the creator-Lord Brahma, it is known as Brahmotsavams.

Chinna Sesha Vahanam:  The Goddess Padmavathi Devi has taken a celestial ride on Chinna Sesha Vahanam on first day of Brahmotsavams on November 29 Friday evening between 8pm to 10pm.

Lord Sesha has a mythological significance of being one of the loyal servants of Lord Venkateswara. The Sesha serves as the celestial bed for Lord and His consort. Pleased by the selfless service of Sesha, the Lord has blessed him with a boon that the seven hills be called “Seshachalam Ranges”, the abode of Lord Venkateswara on heavenly earth in Kaliyuga. Sesha, the king of serpents, not only serves His Master, but his better-half Goddess Padmavathi as well on its five hooded Chinna Sesha Vahanam.

It is a fabulous fete to the tens of thousands of eyes who eagerly witness the procession of the “Mother of Universe” after waiting for hours.
