“PROMOTION AND PRESERVATION OF VEDAS IS OUR PRIORITY”-TTD EO

TIRUPATI, JULY 12: Protection, preservation and promotion of Vedas, which are the basis for Hindu Sanatana Dharma, is the top priority of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams said, TTD Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao, here on Sunday.

Addressing the Ninth Anniversary of SV Vedic University in TIrupati, the EO said, the Vedic Varsity was set up about nine years ago with aim to preserve the ideals enshrined in the Vedas to promote Universal peace, harmony and brotherhood.

“Today, the need of the hour is to protect the most efficient and pious literature of Vedas and to spread the message contained in it and for this noble purpose we are collaborating with Sri Rama Krishna University of Belur”, he added.
He said TTD has also established Veda Parirakshana Trust in 2007 and have been helping poor Vedic pundits and scholars, students who have taken up extensive research in Vedas across the country.

Later speaking on this occasion the Belur Sri RamaKrishna Varsity Vac Sri Atmapriyananda Swamiji felt that there is an urgent need to bring out the profoundness of the rational approach and the scientific temper, presented in the Vedas in the context of pursuit of knowledge and realization of higher levels of consciousness. “We are happy that we are being collaborated with a great dharmic institute like TTDs in promotion of Vedas”, he added.

The SV Vedic Varsity VC Sri KE Devanathan said, the main motto of TTD in establishing Vedic Varsity is preservation and promotion of world’s ancient sanskrit scriptures-the Vedas.

He later told media persons that the varsity is contemplating to hold international Vedic meet in the month of November this year.
Earlier Sevadhi, Vedavartha books and Audio CD-Satapatha Brahmanam were also released on this occasion.
Varsity Registrar Sri GSR Krishnamurthy, Dean Sri Srinivasacharyulu, All Projects Special Officer Sri N Mukteswara Rao and others were also present.
