“PROPAGATE VENKATESWARA BHAKTHI CULT WITH MORE PILGRIM FRIENDLY PROGRAMMES”-AP CM
Tirumala, 20 February 2015: The Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri N Chandra Babu Naidu, complimented the temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTDs) for streamlining darshan, accommodation and Prasadam system in Tirumala and suggested to come out with more pilgrim-friendly programmes to enhance “Venkateswara Bhakticult” globally.
Sri Naidu had darshan of Lord Venkateswara on Friday during the morning VIP break. Earlier on his arrival to Mahadwaram, through Vaikuntham Queue Complex-1, TTD EO Dr D Samba Siva Rao, JEOs Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju and Sri P Bhaskar welcomed him with the traditional Isthikaphal amidst the chanting of vedic hymns by temple priests.
After darshan of Lord Venkateswara, he was rendered Vedasirvachanam by vedic pundits in Ranganayakula Mandapam. Later he was offered Swamivari Teertha Prasadams and amination photo.
Speaking on this occasion, the AP CM said, day by day the number of pilgrims visiting Tirumala is increasing by many folds. TTD has been offering impeccable services to these multitude of of visiting pilgrims by introducing pro-pilgrim measures including three-line darshan, online darshan and seva tickets etc.
Apart from providing darshan, accommodation and prasadams to pilgrims, TTD is doing commendable services in the areas Vidya, Vaidya, Annaprasdam distribution etc.
The donations offered by pilgrims are being properly utilised. The rituals and sevas are being performed as per the prescribed principles in agamas. This is creating lot of credibility among the devotees and attracting them to Tirumala. The Srivari devotees from across the globe are looking at us and lot more services need to be introduced for the sake of pilgrims. The entire workforce of TTD starting from EO to office subordinate should stand exemplary to other and render more dedicated pilgrim services with enhanced spirit and enthusiasm”, he maintained.
Adding further he said, “Temples are the epitome of our rich, culture, tradition and give energy to us. So I wish the officials of TTD to come out with more and more innovative pilgrim-friendly programme in the coming days and widespread Venkateswara Bhakticult across the globe”, he said.
State Ministers Sri B Gopala Krishna Reddy, Sri Narayana, local MLA Smt Sugunamma, SPs of Chittoor and Tirupati Sri G Srinivasulu, Sri Gopinath Jetti, Additional CVSO Sri Siva Kumar Reddy, Temple Deputy EO Sri C Ramana and other officials were also present.
