PULSE POLIO AWARENESS RALLY OBSERVED

Tirumala, 21 February 2015: The pulse polio awareness rally has been observed in Tirumala on Saturday.

TTD Chief Medical Officer Dr N Vikas flagged off this rally in SV High School. Speaking on this occasion he said, it is the responsibility of every citizen to get rid off this disease from the country. He urged the locals and the pilgrims to administer pulse polio drops to their infants aged below five years on Sunday without fail. “we have set up 25 centres in Tirumala out of which 18 centres are meant for pilgrims and seven for the locals”, he maintained.
Meanwhile students took part in this rally in large numbers and raised slogans to create awareness among the pilgrims and denizens in the streets of Tirumala.

The principal, faculty and students of SV High School, staff members of Aswini hospital were also present.
