PURANAS TO BE SIMPLIFIED FOR THE EASE OF READERS-TTD EO

Tirupati, 21 January 2016: TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao on Thursday said, that the puranas and ithihasas will be simplified further in simple Telugu for the sake of readers.

Pandita Parishad meeting took place at SPRH in Tirupati where in the scholars from across the state took part in this meeting. Speaking on this occasion, the EO instructed the authorities concerned to bring out the completed works in the form of books without delay.

He instructed that the completed works should be displayed on website and the scholars who worked on these books should be given remuneration immediately. Those which are still under process should be completed within the time frame. He said so far 55 scholars worked on 18 puranas and brought to light 3,71,000 slokas.

All projects DyEO Smt Sharada, scholars Kesapragada Satyanarayana, Sri Ramakrishnamacharyulu, Sri Ramella Somayajulu and others were also present.
