PUSHPAYAGAM IN SRINIVASA MANGAPURAM ON MARCH 26

TIRUPATI, MARCH 15: The important religious ritual in the Srivaishnava Sampradaya, Pushpa Yaga Mahotsavam will be conducted in the temple of Lord Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy, Srinivasa Mangapuram on March 26 with Ankurarpanam on March 25.

Generally, this utsavam was used to conduct to pray the god to save the mankind from natural calamities such as cyclones, famine, earth quake etc., This utsavam is usually conducted on sravana nakshatram day the birth star of Lord Venkateswara.  Veda Sathumurai’ and ‘Santhi Manthra’ recitation will also be performed seeking peace and tranquility in the world.

Earlier in the day, Snapana Tirumanjanam will be performed to the processional deities of Lord Kalyana Venkateswara and His Consorts at Kalyana Mandapam inside the yagasala premises. The lord along with His consorts will be given a floral bath with nearly 6 tonnes of flowers including 18 varieties from 2.30pm to 5pm. Later, unjal seva and veedi utsavam follows Pushpayagam.

Meanwhile TTD performed Pushpayagam for the first time in the history of the Srinivasa Mangapuram temple in the year 2008. Willing grihastas can take part in this seva by paying Rs.516/- on which two members are allowed.
