PUSHPAYAGAM PERFORMED IN A COLOURFUL MANNER IN APPALAYAGUNTA

Appalayagunta, 21 July 2016: The annual pushpayagam was performed in a ceremonious manner in the famous temple of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple at Appalayagunta on Thursday evening.

Earlier during the day snapana tirumanjanam was performed with all the Pancha Dravyas in a religious manner amidst the vedic chant by temple priests.

Later in the evening the deities were seated on specially decked platform in the temple premises and floral bath has been performed with five tonnes of various varieties of traditional flowers.

Meanwhile this fete is performed to save Mother Nature from all calamities and provide a peaceful life to the entire living organisms by appeasing the deities.
