RADHA GAMANAM OBSERVED ON SECOND DAY OF SALAKATLA VASANTHOTSAVAM

Tirumala, 9 April 2017: The procession of Golden Chariot has been observed with religious fervour in Tirumala on the second day of ongoing three day annual vasanthotsavams on Sunday.

The processional deities of Lord Malayappa Swamy flanked by His two divine consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi on the finely decked 32-feet tall golden chariot weighing around 28 tonnes, has been pulled by devotees with religious ecstasy chanting “Govinda Nama” all through the procession.

Usually in a year, the procession of golden chariot takes place three times during annual brahmotsavams, on vaikuntha ekadasi and during annual vasanthotsavams.

TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, JEO Tirumala Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, SE II Sri Ramachandra Reddy, Temple DyEO Sri Rama Rao, Peishkar Sri Ramesh, VGO Sri Raveendra Reddy and other officers were also present.
