RAMANUJACHARYA RATHA YATRA FROM SEP 23

Tirupati, 21 Sep. 16: As part of the centenary celebrations of well known Vaishnavacharya Bhagavad Ramanujacharya the fourth phase of TTD Rath Yatra will tour six pilgrim centres of Tamil Nadu from September 23 to 26.

The Ramanujacharya rath yatra had kicked off on May 10 as part of the Vaishnavite saints 100th jayanti. The Ratham comprised of Sri Malayappa Swamy and his consorts Sri Devi and Bhudevi along with Sri Ramanujacharya idol.

The fourth phase of the Ramanujacharya ratha yatra will commence at 6.30am on September 23 at Tirumala and enter Tamil Nadu via Vellore and Salem. Srinivasa Kalyanam will be performed at Salem in the evening.

On September 24 the Ramanujacharya ratha yatra will cover Sri Appa Kuduthas Perumal temple at Tiruppur town, Sri Edavalagi Nambi Perumal Temple of Sri Tiruambil, Sri Pundarikakshan Perumal Temple of Tiruvallarai and Sri Purushothaman Perumal Temple at Thirukkaramanur and Sri Alagirimanaval Perumal Temple at Thirukkoli.

On September 25 the Ramanujacharya ratha yatra will cover Sri Ranganatha Swami temple and will reach Tiruchi where Srinivasa Kalyanam will performed. On September 26 the Ratham will return to Tirupati.

The TTD has appealed to devotees at all locations to utilise the opportunity for darshan of Malayappa Swamy and Ammavari.
