RAMANUJA’s IMPACT ON LITERATURE

Tirupati, 21 April 2017: The impact of Saint Ramanujacharya’s teachings was clearly seen on Telugu Padya, Gadya, Nataka Prakriyas said renowned scholar Dr KTV Raghavan.

The three day special sadas on Sri Ramanujacharya concluded in Annamacharya Kalamandiram on Friday. Speaking on the subject “Telugu Sahityamlo Ramanujulu”, he said, “Saranagathi Gadyam, Sri Ranga Gadyam, Vaikuntha Gadyam, Vedartha Sangraham, Sri Bhashyam have not only impacted the Indian language literature but has great impact even on foreign languages as many foreigners influenced by Ramanuja’s writings and did research on his works.

Dr K Rajagopalan speaking on “Saranagati Vaisisthyam” said the serpent king Sri Adisesha has took rebirth as Sri Ramanujacharya. While Sri Chakravarthi Ranganathan said, Ramanuja explored the inner meaning of Vedantam and preached the world its essence.
