RECITING OR LISTENING TO TIRUPPAVAI IS CONSIDERED AUSPICIOUS TIRUPATI JEO

TIRUPATI, DECEMBER 16: Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar advocated that reciting or listening to Tiruppavai pasurams is considered very auspicious in the holy month of Dhanurmasa.

Inaugurating the Dhanurmasa Tiruppavai papayanam at Annamacharya Kalamandir in Tirupati on Tuesday evening, the JEO said, Andal Goda Devi penned Tiruppavai Pasurams in Tamil and there are about 30 verses in praise of Lord. “These pasurams will be resisted everyday between 7am to 8am in this spiritual hall till 14 of January 2015 by renowned scholar Sri PR Rangarajan”, JEO said.

Later popular Carnatic artist Dr Dwaram Lakshmi rendered a pasuram melodiously and enthralled the audience.

The JEO released a Tiruppavai CD sung by the eminent vocalist Smt D Lakshmi and narrated by the Sri PR Rangarajan.

Spl gr Dy EO Sri Munirathnam Reddy, HDPP special officer Sri Raghunath, Alwar Divya Prabandha Project officer Sri Chokkalingam and others were also present.
