REPAKULA SUBBAMMA TOTOTSAVAM OBSERVED WITH RELIGIOUS FERVOUR

Tirupati, 4 April 2017: Lord Sri Rama visited His ardent devotee’s site as a part of the special utsavams of Kodanda Ramalayam on Tuesday.

Repakula Subbamma, an ardent devotee of Lord Sri Rama used to offer largesse during brahmotsavams some 100 years ago. She pioneered Kalpavriksha and Sarvabhupala Vahanam in 1910. In 1933 after her demise she continued her reverence to Lord by donating a piece of land where RS Gardens and SV Balamandir schools are now located in the heart of the temple city.

As a tribute to her dedicated bhakti, Lord Rama along with Sita Devi and Lakshmana Swamy visits her gardens every year after annual brahmotsavams. This fete is popularly known as Repakula Subbamma Tototsavam.
