RS.25K CASH WOMAN EMPLOYEE CHAMPION FROM 2017 IN SPORTS-CHAIRMAN

Tirupati, 15 February 2016: TTD Trust Board Chief Dr Ch Krishnamurthy announced a cash award of Rs.25 thousands to the overall champion of women employees sports in TTD from 2017 onwards.

Addressing the valedictory function of TTD sports and cultural festival in TTD adminstrative building quadrangle he said, the sports and cultural meet will provide physical fitness and enhance the spirit of service by providing them relief from work stress. He said women are sharing platform on par with men in all fields including sports.

Earlier in his address, Tirumala JEO who himself is a sportman champ in badminton announced Rs.5000 prize money every year on his behalf in memory of Superintendent Sri KVS Babu, a badmintin champion, who passed away recently. He also felt the need to establish an indoor stadium for the fitness of employees.

Meanwhile Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar said over 3000 employees took part in various games and sports event in 2:1 ratio of men and women employees respectively. He felt there is need to enhance this number as it is necessary to keep fit to give better services to pilgrims.

PRO Dr T Ravi presided over the function while Tirumala Temple DyEO Sri C Ramana and Welfare DyEO Sri Krishna Reddy also spoke on this occasion.

Later prizes were distributed to winners and runners. While the KVS Babu Memorial Prize has been awarded to Sri Sudhakar Rao, SE3 in Badminton.
