RS.300 ONLINE BOOKING MAKES DARSHAN EASY FOR PILGRIMS

Tirumala, 23 July 2015: The on-line booking system introduced by TTD for Rs.300 is increasing popularity day by day and it is now considered a comfortable format of darshan for pilgrims especially for those who are coming from far off places.

Ttd EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao along with Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju and other senior officers of TTD put forth lot of efforts to streamline this system so asto ensure comfortable, easy and hassle free darshan to more number of pilgrims. With this noble aim, the Rs.300 special entry darshan tickets quota has been increased to 26000 from July 1 onwards while Rs.50 to 4000 tickets to enable more number of pilgrims to have a perfect pre-planned darshan.

A team of devotees comprising 150 members led By Sri Shantilal Jain from Ujjain EOs Madhya Pradesh had a comfortable darshan in couple of hours on July 17 and they expressed their immense satisfaction with this format of darshan. Mr. All also expressed that they have booked 25 tickets of Rs. 300 on-line for the sake of his 150 members comprising family and friends. “Without any trouble we have a very smooth darshan and we are all happy for this”, he said. Ttd officials have also complimented the team for planning their Tirumala pilgrimage with a perfect planning.

Meanwhile TTD has brought many amendments in Rs.300 booking system to make the on-line booking more pilgrim friendly from July 1 onwards. Now the owner of the family alone has to upload his or her photo ID and other particulars and remaining five members can enter their ID number. In the case of failed tickets, money refunding I will be done immediately. Even the PACs are also developed and provision of locker facility is made easier for this category of pilgrims as there is need for them to wait for long hours in queues to have darshan of Lord Venkateswara. Even extra laddus can also be booked on-line while booking the tickets itself.

In a survey conducted by TTD over 85 % pilgrims have also expressed their immense satisfaction over this format of darshan.
