Tirupati, 14 September 2016: The TTD is all set to make safe and comfortable transportation arrangements for devotees during the oncoming Srivari Annual Brahmotsavams, says TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.

Addressing a review meeting at his chambers in TTD Admin buildings today the TTD EO directed the TTD transport wing and the RTC to coordinate efforts to ensure safe and memorable movement of devotees from Tirupati to tirumala.

He urged the officials to take up all measures and ensure against any accidents or traffic jams by deploying five cranes at crucial locations and also mechanics on the ghat roads during the Brahmotsavams.

He wanted officials to make extra arrangements during Garuda Seva day and see that both the Alipiri and Srivari Mettu are kept open for 24 hours on that day. Similarly both the ghat roads should be kept open in the same manner (24 hours) till October 16 including Saturdays and Sundays.

Same way the Papavinasam road and the Ring road should be utilised for vehicle parking and conductors deployed in RTC buses to avoid waiting time for devotees. TTD will provide wireless sets and other facilities for RTC staff, he said.

RTC regional manager Sri V Nagi Shivudu said that RTC had prepared an action plan to run 516 buses and ply 2000 trips on all days of Brahmotsavams and particularly on Garuda seva day it will ply 540 buses and 3500 trips. All devotes should be advised to travel in buses only for their own safety and comfort.

Three free buses to Srivari Mettu on Garudotsavam Day- EO

To facilitate the local devotees from Tirupati region to visit Tirumala on October 7, Garudotsavam day, three free buses will be operated and advised the devotees to utilise the services. The free buses will facilitate return journey of devotees from Srivari Mettu to Tirupati and nearby places, he said.
