TIRUMALA, 02 JULY 2024: The safety and security of the pilgrims trekking the footpath routes to reach Tirumala holds paramount importance, asserted TTD EO Sri J. Syamala Rao.
The EO reviewed the safety measures for the pedestrian devotees with the Government Forest, TTD Forest, Engineering, Vigilance and Security Departments in the meeting hall of Sri Padmavati Rest House in Tirupati.
He asked the officials to give high priority to the safety of the devotees going on the Alipiri and Srivari Mettu walkways.
Speaking on this occasion, EO said that apart from the existing trap cameras, more numbers should be set up to track the movement of leopards and other animals.
The officials concerned were directed to take steps to improve the signaling system especially, so that the control room gets movement of the alarm signals on the movement of wild beasts roaming from the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple to the seventh mile at any time.
This will help in sending caution to the devotees and alerting them on time.
The officials were directed to write a letter to the Committee saying that the proposals given by the earlier joint committee were too expensive and suggest cost effective alternative structures and routes.
Earlier the EO was briefed by the Forest officials on at what times the footpath has high or low flow of devotees, times leopards are roaming in the area, through PPT prepared by Wild Life Institution of India.
It was brought to the notice of the EO that the devotees on foot should reach Tirumala at the prescribed times and accordingly changes should be made. The EO asked JEO Sri Veerabraham and CV&SO Shri Narasimha Kishore to discuss with the concerned authorities and take appropriate measures as per the suggestion of forest officials.
The EO also reviewed what works have been undertaken, progress of these works, how many more works need to be carried out and other related issues in detail.

తిరుమల, 2024 జూలై 02: అలిపిరి, శ్రీవారి మెట్టు నడక మార్గంలో వెళ్లే భక్తుల భద్రతకు అధిక ప్రాధాన్యత ఇవ్వాలని టీటీడీ ఈవో శ్రీ జె.శ్యామలరావు అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు. తిరుపతి శ్రీ పద్మావతి విశ్రాంతి భవనంలోని సమావేశ మందిరంలో ప్రభుత్వ అటవీ, టీటీడీ అటవీ, ఇంజనీరింగ్, భద్రత విభాగాలతో కాలిబాట భక్తుల భద్రత చర్యలపై ఈవో సమీక్షించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ఈవో మాట్లాడుతూ, ప్రస్తుతం ఉన్న ట్రాప్ కెమెరాలే కాకుండా చిరుతలు, ఇతర జంతువుల సంచారం తెలుసుకొనేందుకు మరిన్ని ట్రాప్ కెమెరాలను ఏర్పాటు చేయాలన్నారు. ముఖ్యంగా లక్ష్మీ నరసింహస్వామి ఆలయం నుండి ఏడవ మైల్ వరకు సంచరించే జంతువుల కదలికలు ఎప్పటి కప్పుడు కంట్రోల్ రూంకు తెలిసేలా సిగ్నలింగ్ వ్యవస్థను మెరుగుపరిచేందుకు చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని ఇంజనీరింగ్ అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు.
అదేవిధంగా జంతువుల కదలికలపై సమాచారాన్నిఎప్పటికప్పుడు భద్రత విభాగానికి తెలియజేయడం ద్వారా భక్తులను హెచ్చరించేందుకు అవకాశం ఉంటుందన్నారు. సంయుక్త కమిటీ ఇచ్చిన ప్రతిపాదనలు చాలా ఖర్చుతో కూడుకున్నవని సదరు కమిటీ వారికి తక్కువ ఖర్చుతో అయ్యే నిర్మాణాలను మరియు ప్రత్యామ్నాయ మార్గాలను సూచించవలసిందిగా వారికి ఉత్తరం రాయాలని అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు.
కాలినడక మార్గంలో ఏఏ సమయాల్లో భక్తుల రాకపోకలు అధికంగా / తక్కువగా ఉన్నాయి, ఏఏ సమయాల్లో చిరుతలు ఈ ప్రాంతంలో తిరుగుతున్నాయి, తదితర సమాచారాన్ని అటవీ అధికారులు పీపీటీ ద్వారా తెలిపారు. ఇందుకు సంబంధించి కాలినడక భక్తులకు నిర్దేశించిన సమయాల్లోనే తిరుమలకు చేరుకునేలా, ఆ సమయాల్లో మార్పులు చేయవలసిందిగా ఈవో దృష్టికి తీసుకువచ్చారు. ఇందుకు సంబంధించిన అధికారులతో చర్చించి, తగు చర్యలు తీసుకోవాల్సిందిగా జేఈవో శ్రీ వీరబ్రహ్మం, సివి అండ్ ఎస్వో శ్రీ నరసింహ కిషోర్ కు సూచించారు.
అంతకుముందు ప్రభుత్వం ఏర్పాటు చేసిన సంయుక్త కమిటీ ప్రతిపాదనలు, వైల్డ్ లైఫ్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా వారిచ్చిన ప్రతిపాదనలను అటవీ విభాగం అధికారులు పవర్ పాయింట్ ప్రజెంటేషన్ ద్వారా వివరించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా సంబంధిత ప్రతిపాదనలలో ఏఏ పనులు చేపట్టడం జరిగింది, ఎన్ని పురోగతిలో ఉన్నాయి, ఇంకెన్ని పనులు చేయవలసి ఉన్నాయి అనే అంశాలపై ఈవో సమీక్షించారు.
