SAKSHATKARAVAIBHAVAM IN SKVST FROM JULY 19-21
Tirupati, 20, June 2015: The annual sakshatkara Vaibhavotsavams will be observed from July 19-21 by TTD in the famous shrine of Sri kalyana venkateswara swamy temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram. Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be performed on July 16.
Usually this festival is observed on the advent Uttara Phalguni star in the month of Ashadham as per Hindu Almanac. This festival is considered to be more important than annual Brahmotsavams is being celebrated in a grand manner by the temple priests. As per the available history this festival is in vogue since 1940 and the festival was performed by the then priest Sri Sundaraja ins whose dream Lord is believed to have appeared and asked him to perform Nitya Puja on the lines of Tirumala.
On these three days there will be Snapana Tirumanjanam to the deities from 9am to 10:30am followed by unjal Seva in the evening between 6pm to 7pm. On the first day there will be Tiruchi, second day Hanumantha and final day Garuds Vahana sevas will be performed along four mada streets. Meanwhile TTD has cancelled all Arjitha Sevas that will be usually performed on the respective week days in connection with the festival.
