“SARE” PROCESSION FROM TIRUMALA TO TIRUCHANOOR
Tirumala, 27 November 2014: On the auspicious occasion of Panchami Teertham at Tiruchanoor on Thursday, the Sare from Tirumala temple reached Tiruchanoor via Kanakamma Satralu, Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple and Sri Govinda Raja Swamy temple during the day.
The rituals commenced with the grand procession of the traditional “Sare”(gift from Lord to his beloved consort comprising turmeric, kumkum, tulsi garlands, Sari etc.) during the wee hours from Tirumala to Tiruchanoor which was brought on finely decorated elephants. These holy items will be adorned to Goddess on the occasion of Panchami Teertham.
Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju carried the “Sare” over his head and reached Alipiri Padala Mandapam on foot and handed over the same to Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar.
