SARVABHUPALA VAHANAM-THE UNIVERSAL EMPEROR

Tirumala, 6 Oct 2016: On the fourth day evening, the Lord Malayappa Swamy in the guise of Lord Sri Krishna crushing the evil serpent king Kaliya, taking a victory ride on the tastefully decked “Sarvabhupala” vahanam.

IMPORTANCE:

In Sanskrit, “Sarva Bhupala” means the “Universal Emperor”. Lord Venkateswara is being worshiped by the rulers of all directions, deities of all worlds and hence he is considered as “Universal Lord of Lords”.

Be it Lords including Shiva, Brahma, Indra, Agni, Yama, Vayu, Nirutthi, Varuna, Kubera, all of them serve grand salutations to Lord Venkateswara.

BLESSING THE GOOD AND PUNISHING THE EVIL

The vahanam signifies that the Lord is always at the helm of His devotees by punishing the evil and blessing the good.
