“SARVADOSHOPASAMANOTSAVAM” BEGINS ON RELIGIOUS NOTE

TIRUMALA, AUGUST 25: Sarvadoshaopsamanotsavam otherwise called Pavitrotsavams off to a ceremonious start in Tirumala Shrine on Tuesday.

As a part of the religious fete, the ritwiks performed Snapana Tirumanjanam to
the utsavarulu amidst chanting of Veda Mantras.

Meanwhile Srivari Pavitrotsavams is an important three-day annual fete usually observed in the month shravanam starting on the auspicious Ekadasi day and concluding on Tryodasi.

On the first day, after performing puja in yagashala in connection with this festival, Pavitra Pratishtha is performed by the vedic pundits.

TTD Board Chief Dr Ch Krishna Murthy, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, CVSO Sri G Nagendra Kumar, board members Sri Raghavendra Rao, Sri AV Ramana, Smt Suchitra Ella, Temple DyEO Sri Chinnamgari Ramana were also present.
