TIRUMALA JEO INSPECTS QUEUE LINES

Tirumala, 23 May 2017: Sea of humanity has been witnessed in the hill town of Tirumala with tens and thousands of pilgrims swarming the sacred shrine on Tuesday.

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju personally inspected the arrangements of food, water, beverages to pilgrims waiting in serpentine queue lines which have stretched outside Narayanagiri Gardens on Tuesday night along with senior officers.

Later speaking to media persons the JEO said, with the results of various exams across the country being released during last week, the heavy rush in Tirumala has been continuing since last Friday. “Even today it is taking 16 hours for Sarva Darshan and 14 hours for Divya Darshan. We will utilise the temporary compartments constructed for the Divya Darshanam pilgrims in Narayanagiri Gardens from 10pm onwards today. In the wake of heavy rush we have decided to restrict VIP break darshan to only protocol VIPs even on Thursday. I therefore, request the devotees to cooperate with TTD”, he added.

He later urged the devotees to have patience till their turn for darshan. “I appeal to devotees to co-operate with TTD for a smooth flow of darshan. We have made elaborate arrangements for the pilgrims. All our officers and employees are sweating out to provide best possible facilities to the multitude of visiting pilgrims like disciplined soldiers”, he complimented.

SE II Sri Ramachandra Reddy, DyEO Temple Sri Kodanda Rama Rao, VGOs Sri Ravindra Reddy, Smt Vimala Kumari, Smt Sada Lakshmi, Health officer Dr Sermista, DE Electricals Smt Saraswathi, Special officer of Annaprasadam Smt Chenchu Lakshmi and other officers were also present.
