Vontimitta, 30 March 2018: All roads lead to Kalyana Vedika premises at Vontimitta in YSR Kadapa district on Friday. The sprawling 70 acre ground was abuzz with activity of tens of thousands of devotees who converged to witness the celestial wedding ceremony of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam.
SIGNIFICANCE OF SRI SITA RAMA KALYANAM
In the Hindu Sanatana Dharma, Lord Sri Rama is considered as the embodiment and personification of all the great virtues of a complete human and fulfilled all the tasks as a noble son, beloved brother, loyal husband and a complete ruler etc.
The companionship of Rama and Sita depicts how to lead an ideal married life. They stayed together in the adversity and happiness alike and lived inseparable. The style of their marriage (or “kalyanam”) as described in ancient Hindu writings is used as the baseline for Hindu marriages today.
Sita Rama Kalyanam is performed every year to sustain the life on the earth with the belief that Lord Rama brings spring rains and the mother Sita who is born to mother earth gives us the fertile land to cultivate for the best crops to feed the world. Kalyanam is performed to bring the happiness and peace around the world.
The Celestial wedding ceremony of the divine ideal couple, represents union of Mother Sita (individual jiva) and Lord Rama (Supreme Self) though devotion. Jiva can only be united with Self through devotion or unbroken love for Lord. To rediscover our Oneness is the source of all happiness and fulfillment and purpose of our human birth.
KALYANAM SEQUENCE BEGINS WITH “KANTHA KORIKA”
On the sixth day evening Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam sequence commences with “Kantha Korika “. This is a unique fete where in the consent of bride is being taken before she is taken for wedding ceremony. This fete took place between 4pm and 5pm.
PROCESSION OF DEITIES
Later the procession of deities to Kalyna Vedika took place between 5pm and 6pm. Here the Edurkolu fete was performed.
CM OFFERS SILK VASTRAMS
The honourable CM of AP Sri N Chandrababu Naidu offered silk vastrams on behalf of state government to the celestial couple. He also carried over his head Mutyala Talambralu.
CELESTIAL WEDDING IDEAL DIVINE COUPLE
Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam commenced amidst the Vedic hymns as per the tenets of Pancharatra Agama. The Kalyanam followed the traditional procedure of Hindu Marriage. Before commencing the divine marriage Kankana Bhattar Sri Rajesh Kumar Bhattar performed Bhagavat Vignapanam (Seeking the divine permission to perform celestial marriage), Sabha Anugna ( of the people) and Sankalpam ( wish by devout).
Later Punyahavachanam performed followed by Raksha Bandhanam, Yagnopaveetadharana, Varaprasenam, Madhuparkarchanam.
DYNASTIES OF BRIDE AND BRIDE GROOM READ OUT
The dynasties of both Sri Rama and Sita Devi were read out and Agni Pratisthapana was made.This is followed by Mangalya Dharana, Akshataropanam, Vedaswasti.
KALYANAM CONCLUDES WITH MAHADASEERVACHANAM
The celestial wedding of the ideal divine couple Lord Sri Rama with Goddess Sita concluded with Mahadaseervachanam. The entire marriage festival was performed between 8pm and 10pm.
SRIVARI SEVAKULU AND SCOUTS PRESSED INTO SERVICE
To serve the devotees 1300 Srivari Sevakulu and 800 were deployed. The Sevakulu distributed Annaprasadams, buttermilk, water to the devotees. After the Kalyanam, Talambralu were distributed to the devotees who attended the marriage.
LED SCREENS ARRANGED
The engineering wing of TTD has erected 24 LED screens to live telecast the celestial marriage fete. The electrical illumination with different mythological characters surrounding the kalyana Vedika enhanced the grandeur of the premises.
DEVOTIONAL PROGRAMS
The sankeertana by Smt Manda Sudharani, Manda Srutiravali, Dr K Vandana with the instrumental support by Sri Krishna, Sri K Ramesh rendered Annamachrya and Tyagaraja songs.
Later Chaitanya brothers from Visakhapatnam rendered Sankeertans.
The narration of the kalyanam was given by renowned scholars Sri Divi Hayagrivacharyulu, Sri Narasimha Deekshitulu, Sri Kadumella Vara prasad in a befitting manner.
KALYANA VEDIKA ASSUMES COLOURFUL LOOK
The entire stage where the celestial wedding performed was decked in a tasteful manner with various varieties of traditional and cut flowers.
About three tonnes of traditional flowers, 20,000 numbers of cut flowers
500 kg of various fruits were used. 40 florists from Bangalore worked with expertise and decorated the Vivaha Mandapam. The pandal raised with fruits including apple, orange, grapes provided visual treat to devotees.

The kalyanam of Lord Sri Rama with Goddess Sita witnessed auspicious gifts from various devasthanams.
On behalf of Ahobilam mutt seer Sri Mahadesikan Swami a set of silk vastrams were presented. While a team of archakas from Bhadradri gifted Talambralu along with silk vastrams on this celestial occasion.

ఒంటిమిట్ట, 2018 మార్చి 30: ఒంటిమిట్టలోని శ్రీ కోదండరామాలయంలో శ్రీరామనవమి బ్రహ్మోత్సవాల్లో భాగంగా శుక్రవారం శ్రీసీతారాముల కల్యాణం అంగరంగ వైభవంగా జరిగింది. రాత్రి 8 నుండి 10 గంటల వరకు కల్యాణాన్ని ఆలయ అర్చకులు శ్రీ రాజేష్‌కుమార్ భ‌ట్ట‌ర్ ఆధ్వ‌ర్యంలో శాస్త్రోక్తంగా నిర్వహించారు.
కల్యాణోత్సవంలో ప్రధాన ఘట్టాలు ఇలా ఉన్నాయి. మొదట అర్చకులు భగవత్‌ ప్రార్థన, విష్వక్సేన ప్రార్థన , సభ ప్రార్థన, పరిషత్‌ ప్రార్థన, గురుపరంపర ప్రార్థన, దైవప్రార్థన చేశారు. సంకల్పం అనంతరం విష్వక్సేనారాధన, వాసుదేవ పుణ్యహవచనం, రక్షాబంధనం, యజ్ఞోపవీత ధారణ జరిగింది. ఆ తరువాత వస్త్రసమర్పణ, మధుపర్కం, ప్రవరాలు, మహాసంకల్పం చేశారు. అనంతరం కన్యాదానం జరిగింది. ఆ వెంటనే మండలాష్టకములు, చూర్ణిక, జీలకర్ర బెల్లం, మాంగళ్యపూజ, అక్షతారోపనం, బ్రహ్మగ్రంథి వ్యాఖ్యానం, ఫలప్రదానం, అనుగ్రహం, మాలపరివర్తన చేశారు. చివరగా వేద విన్నపము, మహదాశీర్వాదంతో శ్రీ సీతారాముల కల్యాణం ముగిసింది. కల్యాణం ముగిసిన అనంతరం భక్తులందరికీ ముత్యంతో కూడిన తలంబ్రాలను టిటిడి అందజేసింది.

ఏకశిలా నగరంగా ప్రసిద్ధి చెందిన ఒంటిమిట్టలోని శ్రీ కోదండరామాలయాన్ని ఆద‌ర్శ‌నీయ పుణ్య‌క్షేత్రంగా తీర్చిదిద్దుతామ‌ని రాష్ట్ర ముఖ్యమంత్రి గౌ|| శ్రీ నారా చంద్రబాబునాయుడు ఉద్ఘాటించారు. ఒంటిమిట్టలోని శ్రీ కోదండరామాలయంలో శ్రీరామనవమి బ్రహ్మోత్సవాల్లో భాగంగా శుక్రవారం శ్రీసీతారాముల కల్యాణాన్ని పురస్కరించుకుని రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం తరఫున పట్టువస్త్రాలు, ముత్యాల తలంబ్రాలను సమర్పించారు.
శ్రీ సీతారాముల కల్యాణం సందర్భంగా గౌ|| ముఖ్యమంత్రి మాట్లాడుతూ రాష్ట్ర విభజన అనంతరం ఒంటిమిట్ట శ్రీ కోదండరామాలయాన్ని మరింతగా అభివృద్ధి చేసేందుకు టిటిడిలోకి విలీనం చేసినట్టు చెప్పారు. ఎన్ని అవాంత‌రాలు ఎదురైనా ఇక్క‌డి భ‌క్తులు ఏమాత్రం ఆందోళ‌న‌కు గురికాకుండా భ‌క్తిశ్ర‌ద్ధ‌ల‌తో కల్యాణాన్ని తిల‌కించార‌ని కొనియాడారు. రాముల‌వారి కల్యాణాన్ని లోక‌క‌ల్యాణం కోసం నిర్వ‌హిస్తార‌ని, ఈరోజు మంచి వ‌ర్షం కుర‌వ‌డంతో అది రుజువైంద‌ని అన్నారు. రామ‌రాజ్యం త‌ర‌హాలో మంచి పాల‌న అందించేందుకు త‌న‌కు శ‌క్తిని ప్ర‌సాదించాల‌ని శ్రీ సీతారాముల వారిని ప్రార్థించిన‌ట్టు తెలిపారు.
ముందుగా ఆలయం వద్దకు చేరుకున్న గౌ|| ముఖ్యమంత్రికి అర్చకులు పూర్ణకుంభ స్వాగతం పలికారు. టిటిడి అధికారులు స్వామివారి దర్శన ఏర్పాట్లు చేశారు. అనంతరం వేద పండితులు వేదాశీర్వచనం చేశారు. శేష‌వ‌స్త్రం అందించారు. అనంతరం ఆలయ సమీపంలోని కల్యాణవేదికలో జరుగుతున్న శ్రీసీతారాముల కల్యాణంలో గౌ|| ముఖ్యమంత్రి పాల్గొన్నారు.

వైభవంగా శ్రీ సీతారాముల ఉత్సవర్ల శోభాయాత్ర
ఒంటిమిట్టలోని శ్రీ కోదండరామాలయం చెంత కల్యాణోత్సవాన్ని పురస్కరించుకుని శుక్రవారం సాయంత్రం శ్రీ సీతారాముల ఉత్సవమూర్తుల శోభాయాత్ర కల్యాణవేదిక వరకు వైభవంగా జరిగింది. మంగళవాయిద్యాలు, భజనలు, కోలాటాల నడుమ శోభాయాత్ర వేడుకగా సాగింది.
ఎదుర్కోలు ఉత్సవం :
ఒంటిమిట్టలోని కల్యాణవేదిక వద్ద సాయంత్రం ఎదుర్కోలు ఉత్సవం వైభవంగా జరిగింది. స్వామి, అమ్మవార్ల ఉత్సవమూర్తులను ఎదురెదురుగా ఉంచి పూలమాలలు మార్చుకునే ప్రక్రియనే ఎదుర్కోలు ఉత్సవం అంటారు.

శ్రీ సీతారాముల కల్యాణోత్సవం సందర్భంగా కల్యాణవేదిక వద్ద శుక్రవారం సాయంత్రం శ్రీమతి మండా సుధారాణి, శ్రీమతి వందన, శ్రీ చైతన్య సోదరులు గాత్ర సంగీత కార్యక్రమం నిర్వహించారు. శ్రీ దీవి హయగ్రీవాచార్యులు, శ్రీ కడిమెళ్ల వరప్రసాద్‌, శ్రీబి.వి.నరసింహదీక్షితులు కల్యాణోత్సవానికి ప్రత్యక్ష వ్యాఖ్యానం చేశారు. శ్రీవేంకటేశ్వర భక్తి ఛానల్‌లో శ్రీ సీతారాముల కల్యాణాన్ని ప్రత్యక్ష ప్రసారం చేశారు.
