SHAMBHO MAHADEVA..HARAHARA SHANKARA SLOGANS ECHOES IN TEMPLE CITY

Tirupati, 7 March 2016: The entire temple city of Tirupati echoed with the rhythmic chants of Hara Hara Mahadeva .. Shambho Shankara .. from the wee hours till midnight of Monday.

All the streets were abuzz with pilgrim activity and serpentine queue lines were the order of the day.

SERPENTINE LINES IN SRI KT:

Especially, the most popular Saiva Kshetra of Kapileswara Swamy temple had witnessed beeline of pilgrims with the queue lines stretched to over a kilo meter outside the temple on the auspicious day of Mahasivarathri on Monday.

ELABORATE SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS:

In view of heavy pilgrim rush, TTD has made elaborate security arrangements to see that no untoward a incident take place due pilgrim influx.

BHOGI TERU IN THE MORNING

While the day began with Ekadasa Rudrabhishekam at 2.30am followed by Bhogi Theru between 7am and 9am. The devotees were allowed for sarva darshan between 5.30am till 12 midnight on Monday.

NANDI VAHANAM IN THE EVENING:

Meanwhile the lord took special ride on His favourite Nandi Vahanam between 6pm to 10pm in the streets on Monday evening and blessed His devotees.

CULTURAL PROGRAMMES:

The cultural programmes arranged by TTD on this special occasion remained as a special attraction. The Sivananda Lahari devotional concert by Smt Vandana, Sri BA Narayana, Smt Bullemma impressed devotees.

RUDRA CHAMAKAM BY VEDIC STUDENTS:

On the other hand, the students of Dharmagiri Veda vignana peetham rendered Rudranamam, Chamakam, etc. With religious fervour.

TTD Chairman Dr Ch Krishna Murthy, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, DyEO Sri Balaji, AEO Sri Subramanyam, Temple Inspector Sri Srinivasulu, Exe Engineer Sri Jagadeeswara Reddy and others took part in the event.
