SINGAPORE FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTER OFFERS PRAYERS IN TIRUMALA SHRINES

Tirumala, 27 February 2015: The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Sri K Shanmugam took part in Abhishekam Seva and offered prayers in the temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on friday morning.

On his arrival, the Hon’ble Minister were accorded a grand reception by the Minister for Municipal Administration Sri Narayana, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao and JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju and temple priests and escorted him to the sanctum sanctorum.

Inside the sanctum sanctorum, priests of Tirumala temple explained to the Hon’ble Minister about the significance of Lord and the jewels adorned to the presiding deity. The Minister of Singapore spent few minutes praying before the presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara and later reached Ranganayakula Mandapam where he was accorded Vedasirvachanam by temple priests.

DyEOs Sri Chinnamgari Ramana, Sri Venkataiah, OSD Sri Damodaram, Temple Peishkar Sri R Selvam, Bokkasam Clerk Sri Gururaja Rao, Parpatheyadar Sri Naik and others were present.
