SIX MORE COMPARTMENTS FOR DIVYA DARSHAN PILGRIMS BY WEEK END

Tirumala, 31 May 2016: To accommodate pedestrian pilgrims, six more compartments are going to come up by this week end apart from the existing 16 compartments under the instructions of TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.

Reviewing with the senior officers of TTD at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday, the EO said, as the Divya Darshan pilgrims are touching almost 50 thousands during peak season, TTD has planned six more compartments which will accommodate another 2000 pilgrims.

“This will minimise the stretch of outside line to some extent. If a new complex for this category of pilgrims is built on the lines of Special Entry Darshan, it will ease the darshan to some extent”, he added.

The EO also instructed the Engineering wing to come out with water budgeting to reduce the wastage of water utilisation.
