SKETCH A CONCRETE ACTION PLAN FOR DEVELOPMENT OF TANKS BEFORE APRIL 5-EO

Tirupati, 22 Mar. 16: To speed up the development of tanks present in and around the temple city of Tirupati, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao instructed the officials various departments concerned including TTD and government to come with a concrete action plan before April5.

A review meeting was held in the chambers of EO with the district collector Sri Siddharth Jain and other departmental HoDs in TTD administrative building in Tirupati on Tuesday where in the EO directed the officials concerned to take up the works as per their priority in a phased manner and not all the 100 at a time.

“After sketching out the action plan, negotiate with private consultants and design the plans to execute the works with more speed. The Rayalacheruvu tank should developed to its best”, EO added.

Later the collector also instructed the district water works officials to come out with an action plan towards the development and beautification of the tanks in two weeks time and see that measures are ensured to avoid encroachment of tanks.

Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar, DFO of TTD and nodal officer of the project Sri Sivaramprasad, TMC Commissioner Sri Vinay Chand, TUDA Secretary Smt Madhavilatha and other district departmental heads were also present.
