“SMS ALERTS WILL BE SENT TO DONORS FOR ACCOMMODATION”-TTD EO

Tirumala, 5 June 2015: TTD Executive Officer, Dr D Sambasiva Rao on Friday attended 23 calls from various pilgrims as a part of the monthly Dial Your EO programme at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala.

Earlier the EO briefed on various developmental programmes that have been undertaken and implemented by TTD for the sake of the pilgrims including improvement of PAC I and II, introduction of additional laddu tokens issuing counters for Divya Darshan pilgrims etc.

There is an incredible increase in the number of pilgrims who had darshan, tonsures, laddus and occupancy ratio due to the transparency measures taken up by TTD in the last few days”, he added.

Addressing a pilgrim caller Sri Sivanarayana from Guntur who requested the EO to see SMS alerts be sent to the donors who have booked rooms, the EO said, henceforth the SMS alerts will be sent to the donors regarding accommodation.

Answering the pilgrim caller Smt Vijayalakshmi from Proddutur, the EO said, there is luggage transportation facility available even at Srivari Mettu foot path route and the pilgrims can avail that free facility.

While the callers Sri Brahmam from Ponnur, Sri Ramesh from Chennai, Sri K Balaji from Krishnagiri sought the EO about how to book rare arjitha seva tickets. Answering these callers, the EO said, as there are limited number of tickets for Archana, Thomala and Abhishekam are available, it is not possible to allot these seva tickets to the pilgrims. But however the pilgrims can book tickets like Kalyanotsavam, Arjitha Brahmotsavam, Vasanthotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara Seva even in current booking also.

Reacting to the pilgrim caller Sri Narasimhan from Mehaboobnagar, the EO said, apart from Dial your EO programme, if any pilgrims fails to connect to this programme, they can lodge their complaint in call centres. ”For this Dial Your EO programme we receive over one lakh calls and it is not possible to attend to all calls in a span of an hour. So the pilgrims can also lodge their complaint in TTD call centres which will be attended to”, he maintained.

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, CE Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy,SE II Sri Ramachandra Reddy, DyEOs Sri C Ramana, Sri Venugopal, Sri Rajendrudu, Smt Baby Sarojini were also present.

TTD Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao said that the number of pilgrims who had darshan and tonsures have increased in the month of May when compared to last year due to the good team work of employees and transparent methods introduced by management.

Giving the statistical data he said that about 23,77, 520 pilgrims had darshan in the month of May as against 20,40,974 pilgrims who had darshan during May last while the number of laddus has also increased by 9,19, 892 pilgrims as the number of laddus issued this year May is 89,84,847 as against 80,64,955 during May last. The EO said the number of tonsures have also increased a 14,02, 023 tonsures have been performed this May as against 12,54,319 which was performed in May 2014.”The occupancy ratio of rooms have also increased by 11% increasing a revenue by 1.53cr this May”, he added.

Later complimenting the employees for their team work during the peak summer season, the EO said, all the employees in Tirumala sweat it out day and night with their commendable services and provided hassle free darshan to the multitude of visiting pilgrims. “I whole-heartedly compliment all the HoDs and their staff members for their work”, he maintained.

ENGINEERING WING GETS THE PAT:

The EO also complimented Engineering wing of TTD for almost completing the first ghat road works within short time. “The entire work will be completed in the next four days. Without affecting the vehicular movement we have completed the task and our Engineers get all the appreciation”, he maintained.

SAPTHAGIRI ON LINE SUBSCRIPTION SOON TO BE LAUNCHED

To increase the reach of Sapthagiri readership, TTD has brought some changes by launching the e-edition in all six languages on its official web site, said TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao. He said Sapthagiri is launched on the web for the sake of netizens. “Now they can read the magazine for free in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, English and Sanskrit. In the next few days we will also introduce on-line subscription facility for the sake of world wide readers to enhance the reach of the spiritual magazine run by TTD”, he maintained.
