SNAPANAM TO KALYANA VENKANNA IS A VISUAL TREAT

Srinivasa Mangapuram, 19 Feb. 17: The ceremonial Snapana tirumanjanam event which was performed to the processional deities of Lord Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy flanked by His two consorts Sri Devi and Bhu Devi on Sunday was a visual treat to devotees.

This special fete was performed as a part of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavams in Srinivasa Mangapuram. This religious event took place between 10:30am and 12noon in the Aklyana Mandapam. Abhishekam was performed by the archakas chanting Sri, Bhu, Neela and Purusha Suktams in rhythm with milk, coconut water, curd, honey, turmeric and finally sandal paste was applied to the deities. During Abhishekam every time when a different ingredient was used, the deities were garlanded with special garlands made of Kuru Vettiveru, roses, lillies and finally with Tulsi.

Temple DyEO Sri Venkataiah and others took part in this fete.
