SPECIAL DRIVE TO KEEP TIRUMALA CLEAN AND GREEN

TIRUPATI, MARCH 2: As Tirumala is being visited by millions of millions of devotees every day, there is every need to keep the surroundings of Tirumala clean and a special drive is urgently operated to keep the environs of the hill town clean, green and hygienic said, TTD EO Dr D Samba Siva Rao.

Reviewing with the officials on various issues in his chambers in Ttd administrative building in Tirupati on Monday, the EO said, this could be achieved only with the support of locals, mutt operators, shopkeepers and pilgrims. First of all they should be given orientation on the importance of Tirumala environs and the necessity to keep it clean and hygienic.

He instructed the engineering department to complete the pending civil works especially those related to sanitation without pendency. He asked them to arrange exhaust fans in all the toilets in the queue lines and avoid unnecessary wastage of water by enlightening pilgrims with display boards wherever required.

About reception wing he directed the concerned officers to see that there is no delay in refunding process. “Train your staff on the usage of advance technology in avoiding delay during refunding at various counters”, he maintained.
He asked the revenue and vigilance officials to see that various articles in Tirumala shops to sell at MRP only. He instructed the Svbc, Sapthagiri and HDPP to come out with innovative programmes and articles to give wide publicity to TTD related activities and see that the message be useful to pilgrims.

Tirupati Jeo Sri P Bhaskar, Chief Engineer Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy and others were also present.
