SPECIFIED AUTHORITY BOARD RESOLUTIONS

Tirumala, 11 February 2011: The meeting by TTD specified Authority held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday under the chairmanship of Sri J.Satyanarayana. Its members, TTD EO Sri IYR Krishna Rao and Sri V.Nagi Reddy were also present. The important resolutions by the board are:

 

1.) Immmediate infra structure improvement as a part of “Sri Seva Project” mooted by TTD with an aim to provide better darshan and accommodation facilities to the pilgrims, besides improving transparency in administrative set up.

 

2.) Keltron company of Kerala, a public sector undertaking has come forward for the modernisation of existing IT set up in TTD at a cost of Rs.1.32cr

 

3.) Apart from providing ultra modern services for the sake of the pilgrims, the Sri Seva project also aims at developing internal services for a smooth and speedy process of administrative system. For this the Earnest and Young company which is designing the Sri Seva project for TTD will have to submit the tender document by month end.

 

4.) The SA also decided to drop the idea of handing over the protected monuments including Tirumala shrine and other sub-shrines under ASI ambit for the time being. However the SA Chairman said, the SA will take a re-look in to the decision and find some alternative solution to see that the temples, which are the identity of our rich heritage and culture will be protected forever for the sake of future generations.

 

Later briefing the media, TTD EO Sri IYR Krishna Rao said, the temple management has all set to net over 1640cr in the fiscal year 2011-12. He said however there is a steep increase in hundi collections as they touched Rs.650cr in the 2010-11 and they may cross 675cr mark by 2011-12″, he added.

 

Tirumala Joint EO Sri K Bhaskar, Tirupati Joint EO Sri N.Yuvraj, FACAO Sri Bhaskar Reddy, CVSO Sri MK Singh and other officials were also present.
