SPIRITUAL FEVOUR GRIPS RAJAMUNDRY MUNICIPAL STADIUM
RAJAMUNDRY, JULY15: The spacious area in Rajamundry Municipal Grounds was caught under the Spiritual fervour , with tens of thousands of devotees thronging the replica temple of Srivaru constructed by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTDs) on Wednesday.
The pilgrims visiting the TTD temple picked up from July 15 onwards and the surroundings reverberated with “Govinda Namas”. They were caught by the divine charm of the live size statue of Lord Venkateswara and utsava murthies placed in sanctum Sanctorum.
TTD, under the instructions of EO Dr D Samba Siva Rao, the officials made elaborate arrangements for the religious fete.
The concept photo exhibition on TTD and Tirumala temple, various mythological themes by Garden Department, expo by Museum, the book stall displaying various TTD publications and the Nirantaraya Hari Nama Sankeertana and Veda Parayana by various projects of TTD stood as major attraction.
Meanwhile, TTD has ensured a systematic way of darshan to the multitude of visiting pilgrims and implemented four line queue system to have a hassle free darshan. The pilgrims too followed a disciplined way to have a convenient darshan of Lord. The security staff and Srivari Sevakulu manned the queue line operations in an effective manner.
The pilgrims are with distributed Chakkara Pongali, Pulihora and small free laddus after their darshan. In order to provide relief from scorching temperatures, the health wing of TTD laid carpets and did watering at regular intervals. The medical wing along with Ayurvedic wing also did their part of service.
Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju also reviewed with officials on the arrangements regularly and instructed the officials and deputed staff to see that pilgrims are not put to any sort of inconvenience.
TTDs PHOTO EXPO – A GREAT VISUAL TREAT
The photo exhibition arranges by TTDs depicting the thousands of years of glory of Tirumala temple and 80 years history caught the attention of visiting pilgrims in the Municipal Grounds at Rajamundry.
The photos are arranged in different sections with the first gallery showcasing the the photos of Pancha Beras of Lord, while the second gallery housed the rare and beautiful pictures depicting the Past and Present Glory of Tirumala with title “Tara Tarala Tirumala”. The photos under this section comprised of Mandapams, transportation during early 1960s, mada streets of Tirumala, Serpentine roads in Tirumala etc.
The next section consisted of visit by various nation leaders and rulers, different Utsavams of Lord Venkateswara etc, jewel treasury of Lord, scenic beauty of Seshachala Ranges etc.
While another gallery exclusively portrayed the impeccable services of Srivari Sevakulu at Tirumala in various departments etc. have also been displayed.
The expo displayed by the Public Relations department stood as a special attraction for the scores of devotees thronging the premises.
