SRI JAYATEERTHA ARADHANA MAHOTSAVAM OFF TO A RELIGIOUS START IN TIRUMALA

Tirumala, 23 July 2016: The Aradhana Mahotsavams of the sixth pontiff of Sri Madhvacharya Peetha Sri Jayatirtha opened on a religious note in Asthana Mandapam at Tirumala on Saturday.

Sri Vidyadheesha Teertha Swamiji of Palimaru Mutt and Sri Esapriya Swamiji of Adamaru Mutt in their spiritual addresses described Sri Jayatheertha as one of the most important seers in the Dvaita philosophy. They said Sri Jayatheertha sanctified his life by penning foreword to all 37 literary works of Sri Madhvacharya and became popular by name “Teekacharya”.

Earlier in the day, suprabhatam, dhyanam, bhajans were performed in the Asthana Mandapam by the Dasa Paras hailing from across the five states of Southern India.

Meanwhile on July 24, there will be Samuhika Sankeerthana programme in Tirumala at 7am in four mada streets with over 3000 Dasa Bhajan troupes.

The Dasa Sahitya Project Special Officer Sri Anandateerthacharyulu is supervising the arrangements.
