SRI PAT GETS READY FOR MEGA RELIGIOUS FETE

TIRUCHANOOR, NOV 17: One of the important shrines of TTD, Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru temple at the temple town of Tiruchanoor about 7km from Tirupati, is all set to celebrate the nine-day meaga religious fete of annual brahmotsavams from Novmeber 19 to November 27 with Ankurarpanam on November 18.

The temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTDs) made elaborate arrangements for the brahmotsavams on par with the Tirumala brahmotsavams. The temple town donned a new festival looks with the floral pandals erected all over the vast spread premises. The colourful rangolis added the extra glitter to the event.

All the streets especially those encircling the temple have been kept clean and tidy. The temple tank, Padmasarovaram attained a new look with fresh water and rich painting acorss its walls and gates.

Electrical illumination with different mythological themes have been erected all round the temple town. On the other hand, the garden department of TTD is all set to fascinate the multitude of pilgrims with its colourful expo.

The Annaprasadam wing has made vast arrangements to serve food to the pilgrims on a large scale. Mobile bath rooms have also been arranged. Laddu counters and book stalls have also been set up.

Cultural programmes by Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad, Annamacharya Project, Dasa Sahitya Project wings of TTD have also set ready to make the nine-day annual karthika brahmotsavams of Ammavaru more attractive with devotional touch.
