SRI RAMA NAVAMI CELEBRATIONS AT VONTIMITTA

Tirupati, March 21: TTD Executive Officer Sri D Sambasiva Rao said today that the annual Brahmotsavams of the Sri Kondandarama swami temple at Vontimetta in Kadapa district will be grandly conducted on par with the annual Brahmotsavams of Tirumala.

Reviewing the arrangements for the Vontimetta Brahmotsavams with senior officials at the Admn bldgs the TTD EO said flower decorations will also be undertaken at Vontimetta as at Tirumala and a significant jewellery would also be gifted to the Vontimetta temple on behalf of the Srivari temple on the occasion.

He directed the officials of SVBC make all preparations for live telecasting of the event and also advised officials to set up a Mela and Vahana bearers teams for Vontimetta as well. He advised the Hindu dharma prachara parishad secretary to publish booklets which highlighted the spiritual and devotional significance of the region and the event for distribution among lakhs of devotees.

Dr Sambasiva Rao directed the engineers to design and build colourful and bright Archs and Swagata Toranams for the Brahmotsavam and that the priests and temple officials should conduct all rituals and follow traditions as per Agamas. He said in coordination with the district administration of Kadapa the Srirama Navami and Rama’s Kalyanotsavam events will be conducted in a grand manner to enthral the devout across the state and country.

He also directed the PRO Dr T Ravi to coordinate with all the Srivari Sevaks in Kadapa district and utilise their services for the success of the Vontimetta Brahmotsavams.

The EO said the Sreegra Darshan and Sarva Darshan facilities also would be introduced during the Vontimetta Brahmotsavams and quality Annaprasadam would be provided to the devotees. He said necessary additional staff should be deployed to provide pollution free environment, all adequate drinking water, civil works, queue lines, electrical works. Nearly five lakh sachets of butter milk and water packets would be readied for devotees sake, he said.

Besides promotion of food delicacies of the region all the devotees would also be provided a share in the Talambralu and Akshintalu used in the Seetha Ramula Kalyanams.

The Executive Officer also directed senior officials to make adequate arrangements for safe drinking water, cleanliness in rooms and clotheslines for the devotees at Srinivasam, Vishnu Nivasam guest houses. He said lockers should be provided in the dormitory halls of these guest houses without cash deposits (as at Tirumala) Sign boards in different languages also should be prepared and placed at allthe guest houses.
