“SRI VARI SEVAKULU ARE DISCIPLENED SOLDIERS OF SRIVARU”-TEMPLE DEPUTY EO

Tirumala, 13 June 2014: The Deputy Executive Officer of Srivari temple at Tirumala Sri Chinnamgari Ramana compared Srivari Sevakulu to that of Narayani Sena of Lord Sri Krishna and complimented them for their impeccable services to the multitude of visiting pilgrims to Tirumala.

Sri Ramana who graced the weekly Srivari Seva meeting that held at Asthanam Mandapam in Tirumala on Friday advocated that today Srivari Seva has become a synonym for selfless service. “The services offered by you to the pilgrims at various places including queue lines, annaprasadam, health, vigilance, temple etc. is outstanding. The same spirit should continue in future and Srivari Seva should emerge as the most powerful voluntary service in the world”, he asserted.

Later, the Public Relations Officer of TTD as well the Head of Srivari Seva wing Sri T Ravi said, Srivari Seva which was started about 14years ago by TTD has reached new heights. “As on today of 22500 odd batches, over five lakh sevakulu have rendered service till date since its inception. Out of which 3.2lakhs are women and 1.8lakhs are men volunteers”, he added.

Assistant PRO cum OSD of Sri Vari Seva Ms P Neelima, over 2000 Srivari Seva volunteers hailing from different states of the country were also present in the meeting.
