SRI VENKATESWARA VAIBHAVOTSAVAMS IN VIZAG FROM 21ST TO 29TH JULY-TIRUPATI JEO

Visakapatnam, 1 July,2014: In order to facilitate a common man to witness the daily rituals that are being performed in the temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala, sitting right at their native places, TTD has designed a new spiritual programme, “Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams” which will be performed in Vizag from 21st to 29th of July, said TTD Tirupati Joint Executive Officer (JEO) Sri Pola Bhaskar.

Addressing media persons at Swarna Bharathi Auditorium in Vizag on Tuesday, the JEO briefing about the highlights of the nine day religious event said that the rituals will be performed with a back ground commentary of Brahmasri Chaganti Koteswara Rao. “To start with we have chosen this culture rich city of Visakhapatnam and in future the Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams will be performed in each District Head Quarters”, he maintained.

The JEO said, this event mulled by TTD will bring awareness among the common man of lower social strata about the importance of the rituals. “On 21st July, Sri Chaganti Koteswara Rao will deliver religious discourse on the importance of the programme in detail in this auditorium between 6pm to 8pm”, he added.

Meanwhile on 22nd July there will be viswaksena puja followed by the punyahavachanam recited by the priests and vedaparayanadars of TTD. On Wednesday July 23, the event commences by 6am with Suprabhatam, followed by Thomala and Koluvu, Archana and Nivedana Sattumora which will conclude by 8.30am. The special event that is usually observed in Tirumala temple on Wednesdays happens to be the Sahasra Kalasabhishekam. So this event will be performed with religious fervor from 8.30am to 10am followed by Second Nivedana. The Sarvadarshan will be from 10.30am to 5pm, followed by Sahasra Deepalankara seva, Veedhi Utsavam, Night Kainkayam and conclude with Ekanta Seva by 9pm.

On July 24th and 25th also similar events are performed but the special events during these days are Tiruppavada Seva between 8.30am to 10am on Thursday and Abhishekam on Friday between 8.30am to 9.30am. The remaining programmes are similar on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesdays also. But on Saturday-July 26 the special event will be Sahasra Archana by 8.30am to 9.30am and on July 27, there will be Sahasra Archana during the same time as on Saturday and also Kalyanotsavam in the evening between 6pm to 8pm. Meanwhile on July 28th the special event will be Visesha Puja between 8.30am to 10am and on the last day, on July 29th the unique event will be Asta Dala Pada Padmaradhana.

Special Grade Deputy EO Smt Chenchu Lakshmi, HDPP Special Officer Sri Raghunath, SE III Sri Ramachandra Reddy, local Dharma Prachara Mandali member Sri Ram Babu were also present.
