SRI VENKATESWARA VAIBHAVOTSAVAMS OFF TO A RELIGIOUS START WITH ANKURARPANAM

NEW DELHI, OCTOBER 30: The fourth phase of Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams off to a colourful and spiritual start with Ankurarpana Mahotsavam on Friday.

As a prelude to the nine-day mega religious festival, the team of archakas who were deputed to New Delhi for the programme performed Ankurarpanam-the seed festival with religious ecstasy. As a part of the ritual, the archakas, amidst chanting of vedic hymns, sowed nine varieties of seeds-Nava Dhanyas in nine different pot, signifying the beginning of the festival. Usually, this festival is being observed during important religious events like annual brahmotsavams, pavitrotsavams etc. Similar ritual was performed in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the country’s capital.

Former Deputy Prime Minister of India Sri LK Advani, Union Minister Sri Venkaiah Naidu, Board Member Sri Bhanuprakash Reddy and others were present.
