Varanasi camp, February 21:Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams plans to conduct the unique ritual of Srinivasa Kalyanams at Kasi Viswanatha Temple complex in the Banaras Hindu University campus, Varanasi on February 23rd.

Disclosing this to newsmen at the Banaras Hindu University campus the TTD Joint executive Officer Sri P Venkarami Reddy said 30 Vedic priests from Tirumala, 1000 Vedic students and 15 Vedic pundits of Varanasi would participate in the ritual performed as per the traditions observed at Tirumala between 3-5 PM on Saturday.

‘The Kalyanams are being performed in premier towns and cities all over the country and also overseas as part of the TTD mission to spread the message of Sanatana Dharma’ he told a crowded press conference.

Asked about the promotion of Veda study by the TTD he explained the number of Vedic pathashalas run by TTD across AP and also the patronization of Sanskrit university at Tirupati.He also appraised about the multifaceted activities of the TTD which included charity, social relevance, religious, Medicare, education, publications,research and documentation.

Sri Venkarami Reddy also informed the media about the facilities like free rooms, free darshan, free annadanam, free tonsuring and free transportation available for the devotees at Tirumala and Tirupati.
