SRINIVASA KALYANAM MUSES DELHI DENIZENS
NEW DELHI, 18 May 2014: The denizens of the nation’ s capital were captivated by the spiritual charm of the wedding ceremony of the processional deities that took place in Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple located in Udyan Marg area on Sunday.
The celestial wedding which began by 10am with Punyahavachanam by the archakas of Tirumala in a grand way continued till 12.30pm for about two hours. The priests performed the Kalyanam of Lord Malayappa Swamy with his two Consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi in a colourful manner as per Hindu marriage tradition with Vishwaksena Aradhana, Ankurarpana, Raksha Bandhana, Agni Pratistha, New silk Vastrams, Maha Sankalpam, Kanyadanam, Mangalya Dharana, Varana Mayiram and concluded with Nakshatra Harati and Mangala Harati.
Speaking on this ceremonious occasion, TTD Trust Board Chairman Sri K Bapiraju said, TTD has been organising these Srinivasa Kalyanams from the past seven years in hamlets, towns, cities, metros of the countries as well in abroad with a noble aim to propagate the Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Cult as well to bestow peace and prosperity across the globe.
