SRINIVASA KALYANAM STAGE PLAY BY TTD STAFFS ENTHRALS SPECTATORS

The devotees were spell bound by the superb performance of “Srinivasa Kalyanam” by TTD staff members in Subramanya Maidanam in Rajamundry on Friday evening.

The saptarshi perform Yaga to invoke the blessings of Trinity, The rishis could not decide as to whom they should dedicate the fruit of their yaga. Narmada offers the task to Sage Bhrigu, for testing who among the three chief divinities-Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva, is the supreme Lord to receive the divine boon of the Yaga.

The episodes of Brigu visiting Satyaloka, Himaloka and Vaikuntham are colourfully portrayed by the respective artistes. The Padyams and slokas, dialogues are stupendous. The performance by different characters including she Brigu, Lord Vishnu, Lord Sinivasa, Goddess Padmavathi, Akasa Raju etc. and especially the sound and lighting effects won the appreciation of the spectators who thronged the venue.

Meanwhile this enactment is 57 th performance by TTD staff members and second one during Godavari PUSHKARAMS. The play was penned by Sri Saila Kumar, Directed by Sri Tota Siva Bhaskar, Songs written by Sri Rangabhattar.

Local MP Sri Murali Mohan felicitated the 50 odd artistes. Former TTD Board Member Sri Routu Surya Prakash was also present.
