TIRUMALA, AUGUST 18: As less than a month is left for Srivari Annual Brahmotsavams, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao has asked the officials of all departments to complete all pending works before this month end and gear up to conduct the big religious fete with significant improvement in all areas.

A high level review meeting with TTD officials, Vigilance, Police and APSRTC was held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday on the arrangements of ensuing annual brahmotsavams.

He said, taking the past experiences into consideration, all the departments should Work with more enthusiasm to achieve better results in their respective areas. “A trial run of Garuda Seva will be performed on August 29 and all departments should equip for the mock test”, the EO added.

Later speaking to media persons, the EO said, this year due to Adhika Masam, there are two Brahmotsavams with the Srivari annual Brahmotsavams starting on September 16 and lasting upto September 24 with GARUDA Seva on September 20 while the Navarathri Brahmotsavams commence fromOctober 14 and conclude on October 22 with GARUDA Seva on October 18.

He said special focus is laid on Entry-Exit points in galleries, transportation, continuous supply of Annaprasadams, sanitation etc.

“Our vigilance wing along with police will make elaborate arrangements of security for the mega fete. We have also asked the APSRTC to ply 2000 trips during normal days and over 2500-3000 trips on Garudaseva day round the clock for the convenience of the pilgrim public. On the other hand, we are contemplating food courts at RTC, CRO, RBRH, MBC26, Museum, Kalyana Vedika and PAC 3 also and buffet system in two halls of Vengamamba Annaprasadam(MTVAC). We will be serving upma, pongal, sambar rice and semiya upma will be an additional delicacy”, he maintained.

The EO also said first aid centres will be placed at RBRH, PAC 1, Papavinasanam road, seventh mile, Narayanagiri Gardens apart from Main Kalyanakatta, inside temple, Nityannaprasadam complex and PAC2. “Ambulances will be kept ready in all the four corners of mada starts to attend to emergencies”, EO said.

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, CVSO Sri G Nagendra Kumar, TIRUPATI Urban SP Sri Gopinath Jetti and other officers of TTD, Police, APSRTC were also present.
