“SRIVARI DEVOTEES SHOULD TAKE UP DHARMA PRACHARA”-TTD EO

TIRUMALA, JANUARY 3: Extending the 2014 New Year Greeting to the Srivari Devotees present across the globe, TTD EO Sri MG Gopal gave a clarion call to the devotees to associate themselves in the noble mission of the propagation, promotion and protection of Hindu Sanatana Dharma.

Receiving the calls from the pilgrims’ callers from across the country on Friday as a part of the monthly “Dial Your EOProgramme” inTirumala at Annamaiah Bhavan, the EO reacted to the queries and suggestions of about 25 pilgrim callers. He said the management has taken measures on some issues which were brought to its notice during previous month’s programme.

Reacting to the query of Sri Pravin from Chennai who suggested to implement Laghu Darshan inside Sri Varahaswamy temple when the pilgrim rush is more, the EO said he will discuss with the pundits and take a decision on this.

Another caller Satyanarayana from Tanuku suggested re-telecasting Dharma Kshetram programme on SVBC which was stopped from quite some time. The EO said, the issue will be looked into. While another pilgrim Smt Kanakamala from Hyderabad suggested to telecast the discourses of famous Tamil Scholar Sri Velgudi Krishnan on SVBC for which the EO replied an appropriate decision will be taken after pursuing the suggestion with the concerned officials.

Meanwhile most of the questions on Friday dealt on how to enrol or register for Srivari Seva voluntary service, darshan for aged and physically handicapped and the streamlining of darshan queue lines near Vendi and Bangaru vakili.

Earlier the EO also briefed on the list of religious events that are going to take place in the month of February which includes Radhasapthami on February 6, Chandanotsavam in Kapila Teertham temple at Tirupati on February 7, Teppotsavams of Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple from 8th to 14th February, Annual brahmotsavams of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy at Srinivasa Mangapuram from 19th to 27th February, Annual brahmotsavams of Sri Kapileswara Swamy from February 20 to March 1.

Elaborating on the arrangements of Vaikuntha Ekadasi and Vaikuntha Dwadasi on January 11 and January 12 the EO said on both these auspicious days, the VIP darshan slot will be from 2am to 7am. Only six members are allowed on VIP ticket with each ticket priced at Rs.1000. The Id-proofs and traditional dressing is compulsory for those coming in VIP slot.

Meanwhile the sarva darshan and divya darshan slots will commence only after 7am. The privilege darshans like parents with infants, aged and physically handicapped have been cancelled on these two days.  Even the Rs.50 and Rs.300 darshan tickets have also been cancelled.

While on Vaikuntha Dwadasi day, a limited number of Rs.300 tikcets will be issued only after 11am.

The sarva darshan pilgrims will be allowed to enter the queue lines in SMC area only after 5pm on January 10 while the divya darshan tokens will be issued to the pilgrims who are coming on foot from Srivari mettu and Alipiri routes only after 2pm on January 10.

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, Additional CVSO Sri Siva Kumar Reddy, CE Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy and other officials were also present.
