SRIVARI SWARNA PADUKAS TO ACCOMPANY GODDESS ON GARUDA

Tiruchanur, Dec 4: The holy golden feet cover of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala has been brought to Tiruchanoor for the auspicious ride of Garuda Vahanam that is to take place in Tiruchanoor on the evening of Wednesday.

According to temple legend, Lord Garuda who is the ardent servants of Lord Venkateswara appealed to Lord for His divine presence while the Goddess taking celestial procession on Garuda vahanam. In turn the Lord accepted and sent His divine golden feet as His symbolic presence to accompany the procession. Since then, the holy golden feet of Lord used to accompany Goddess Padmavathi during Her celestial procession on Garuda Vahana.
