STAGE SET FOR SRI VENAKTESWARA VAIBHAVOTSAVAMS IN TS CAPITAL

HYDERABAD, FEBRUARY 6: The stage has been set to celebrate the week-long celestial fete of Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams which will commence in the spacious NTR Stadium located at Indira Park Road, in Domalaguda at HYDERABAD in the state of Telengana on February 7 and conclude on February 12 with Punyahavachanam and Vaastu Shanti Homam on February 6.

LORD AT THE DOOR STEP OF HIS BELOVED DEVOTEES

After receiving the overwhelming response in first four phases, the temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) which administers the temple affairs of the world famous Hindu religious shrine of Lord Venkateswara is now organising this celestial fete here in its fifth phase.

Through this programme, the devotees of Lord will get an opportunity to witness all the rituals that are being performed in Tirumala temple in the replica temple created here, sitting right in their home towns.

FROM SUPRABHATAM TO EKANTAM:

The team of priests who are deputed for the occasion will perform the rituals starting from the pre-dawn and foremost ritual Suprabhatam to Ekantam with which the daily prayers concludes in the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara.

A peep into the various rituals that are going to be performed during Sri Venakteswara Vaibhavotsavams:

SUPRABHATAM(6:00am): The archakas will render Stotram, Prapatti, Mangalasasanam which are also a part of Suprabhatam with grace and perfection. Suprabhatam comprises of 70 slokas, composed by Prativadi Bhayankara Annan, a disciple of the celebrated Vaishnava Preceptor, Manavala Mamuni. It is considered to be the “Awakening” seva of Lord.

The replica idol of Sri Bhoga Srinivasa Murthy which was laid to rest will be taken back to the Garbhalaya and placed in front of the main deity after Suprabhata Seva.

THOMALA AND KOLUVU(7:00am:7:30am): This yet another important seva, which is nothing but decorating Lord with flower garlands amidst chanting of vedic mantras by temple priests.

KOLUVU: After decorating the Lord, Koluvu follows and the importance of the day including Nakshatra, Tithi etc. as per Hindu almanac will be read out in front of Bhoga Srinivasa Murthy who was made to sit in a special Asan.
ARCHANA(7:30am to 8:15am) Later follows Sahasranamarchana where in the archakas render prayers by chanting His 1000 divine names signifying the glory of the main deity.

NIVEDANA AND SATTUMORA(8:15am to 8:30am): After completing the pre-dawn rituals, the main Lord, utsavarulu will be offered Naivedyam in the form of Annaprasadam which is called Nivedana. This Nivedana will be rendered thrice a day during morning, afternoon and evening after first bell, second and third respectively.

Then follows Sattumora, where the Srivaishnavacharyas render Divya Prabandha Parayanam before main deity.

SARVA DARSHANAM (10:30am to 5:30pm): The devotees will be allowed for Sarva Darshan after the completion of all morning rituals and it continued till evening.

SAHASRA DEEPALANKARA SEVA(5:30pm to 6:30pm): In the evening, the processional deity of Lord Sri Malayappa Swamy flanked by His two consorts is made to sit on a swing and Sahasra Deepalankara Seva will be performed in the light of over 1000 ghee lamps behind.

EKANTA SEVA(8:30pm to 9:00pm): The heavy schedule of the day concludes with Ekanta Seva in the night, where the idol of Sri Bhoga Srinivasa Murthy was laid to rest on a bed with the rendition of Annamaiah Jola Pata rendered by the successors of Saint Poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya and later Tarigonda Harati was offered to deity marking the closure of the daily rituals.

WEEKLY SEVAS FROM VISESHA POOJA TO ABHISHEKAM

Meanwhile apart from the daily rituals, the denizens will get an opportunity to witness weekly rituals including Visesha Pooja on Monday between 8:30am and 10am, Astadala Pada Padmaradhana on Tuesday between 8:30am and 9:30am, Sahasrakalasabhishekam on Wednesday between 8:30am and 10am, Tiruppavada on Thursday between 8:30am and 9:30 am followed by Srinivasa Kalyanam on the same day evening between 6:30pm and 8:30pm, Abhishekam on Friday between 8:00am and 10:30am followed by the Pushpayagam from 10:30am onwards. While on Sunday on February 7 Vasanthotsavam will be performed between 8:30am and 10:00am.
