STERN ACTION AGAINST SHOP KEEPERS IF EXPIRY GOODS SOLD-TTD EO

TIRUMALA, 6 February 2017: The TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao warned of stern action against those shop keepers in Tirumala who sell expiry goods and medicines to pilgrims.
During the weekly review meeting on developmental activities of various departments, the EO sounded harsh on those shop keepers who are selling outdated eatables, cool drinks, mineral water and even medicines. “The Health and Vigilance departments should first give a strict warning with penalty and if the same is repeated by the shop keeper his licence should be cancelled”, he maintained.

Later he instructed to procure industrial vacuum cleaners to clean the densely deposited dust in potu and laddu preparation areas.

He later instructed the engineering wing to find out a suitable place for constructing Sarva Darshanam complex soon on the lines of Rs.300 and footpath complexes.

The EO also instructed the DFO to complete the beautification works including development of gardens in Vontimitta temple in YSR Kadapa district before ensuing annual Brahmotsavams of the temple.

Earlier, the EO lauded the team work of all departments towards the success of Radhasapthami fete.

Speaking to media persons after meeting he said, TTD has kept the medicines and masks as preventive measures against swine flu virus. “We have already negotiated with SVIMS Director and Ruia hospital chief. They said, this virus will spread in weather conditions below 20 degrees Celsius. As we are at the end of winter season in next few days, there is no need to panicky. We are prepared with our medical kit to counter this flu. And we have even donated 100 masks to Ruia”, he added.

He said, during the recent Radhasapthami all the wings of TTD, Srivari sevakulu, scouts, vigilance and police have done excellent job in manning the pilgrim crowd. “Our volunteers are doing great service to pilgrims. And it becomes our responsibility to safe guard their interests and provide them security and all amenities”, he maintained.
