STERN ACTION AGAINST THOSE WHO FAIL TO KEEP TIRUMALA PREMISES CLEAN-TTD EO

Tirupati, 23 February 2015: TTD EO Dr D Samba Siva Rao instructed the health officials of TTD to initiate stern action against the shopkeepers, owners of hotels, mutts, chowltries in Tirumala if they fail to keep their premises clean and hygienic.

Reviewing with senior officials of various departments of TTD in his chambers in TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati on Monday, the EO said, the pilgrims need to be oriented on importance of hygiene and keeping the premises tidy. The health department need to concentrate more in the areas of VQC I and II, Annaprasadam Complex, shopping complex, coconut sales, mutts etc. The premises of Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru temple should also be maintained properly”, he directed.

He also instructed the reception officials to speed up the process of refunding in the counters. “You should train your staff properly so that the refunding is done without delay to the pilgrims”, he maintained.

The EO also instructed the Chief Engineer Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy to see that there is no pending in the developmental works in Tirumala to avoid any sort of inconvenience to multitude of visiting pilgrims. He also directed him to come out with an action plan to construct replica temples of Lord Venkateswara in Agency areas. “Complete the renovation works of TTD kalyanamandapams in Tirupati in first phase, mandapams located in District HQs in Second phase and all kalyanamandapams located in other places during third phase”, he said.
